CNI Regional Leader - Andy Burns
Hi My name is Andy Burns and I am the co-ordinator of Dundee ROCK Street Chaplains. Dundee ROCK Street Chaplains started in 2000 when two men caught the vision to reach out to people who attend the nightclubs in the city of Dundee. Twelve years on and ROCK Street Chaplains are working on the streets of Dundee City Centre three nights a week - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10.30pm to late. We work outside the bars and clubs in the city and also in the clubs, helping and caring for people who may from time to time vunerable due to access drink and drug taking. ROCK stands for "Reaching Out to make Christ Known". We give out lollies and leaflets which helps us build up relationships with people on the streets. ROCK Street Chaplains have a team of about thirty volunteers working in teams in Dundee City Centre each week, Rock Street Chaplains could not work without our Volunteers. |
